The website shares information with local, licensed and insured vendors who will reach out and contact you the consumer with the information provided here. Connecting customers with handyman professionals is the purpose of this site, and it is the most important thing on this page.

What gets shared is your contact information and your description of the job. Technical data such as your IP address and how you moved through the site is not shared with contractors.

Information collected

Information you give us

When you submit the contact form, the following is collected:

Your name
Your phone number
Your email address, if you provide one
The city or area the work is in
The type of service you selected
Your description of the project

If you call the phone number on the site instead, whatever you say on that call is recorded in writing so the job can be passed on accurately.

Information collected automatically

Standard web request data is generated when you visit — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and the time of the request. This is logged by the hosting provider and, where analytics is enabled, by the analytics provider. Clicks on the phone buttons are counted so it is possible to tell which service categories generate calls; that count records the page and the button, not who you are.

No cookies are set by this site for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Who your information is shared with

Independent contractors. Your name, phone number, email address, city, selected service and project description are provided to one or more independent local contractors so that they can contact you about the work. Those contractors are separate businesses. Once they hold your details, their own handling of that information is governed by their practices, not this policy.

Service providers. The site uses third parties to operate — a hosting provider, an email delivery provider that transmits form submissions, and, where enabled, an analytics provider. They process data on the site's behalf in order to provide those services.

Legal requirements. Information may be disclosed where required by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Your information is not sold, and it is not shared with advertising networks or data brokers.

How long it is kept

Form submissions and call notes are retained for up to twenty-four months, so that a completed referral can be verified if a question arises later. Server and analytics logs are retained on the providers' own schedules, typically a matter of months. You may ask for your information to be deleted sooner.

Your choices

You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, using the contact form.
Once your details have been passed to a contractor, ask that contractor directly to stop contacting you — deletion here does not reach into their records.
You can browse the site without submitting anything. Submitting the form is the only way your contact details are collected.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and no absolute guarantee is offered.

Children

This site is intended for homeowners and other adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and information is not knowingly collected from them.
